Thanks for stopping by Marc.

That's a super cool way of getting blog post ideas :D. Never thought of that before. On the other hand, I think it'll be time consuming. What say you about that?

Yes Corinne, and it also serves as social proof for others who may be hesitant to take action on your site.

Thanks for stopping by Corrine :D.

Here is an idea that has worked well for me. Create a few Google Alerts for your particular business niche. Each day after receiving your daily alerts, click on each of the results - on by one - and read the blog posts carefully. Comment on the ones that you feel you can add some value to. Make your comments more indepth than the usual "Great Article, Thank you" comments most people generally leave behind. And, feel free to add your signature (Name, title, company, company website) at the end of what you have composed with links to your own blog. After all, you should be qualifying yourself so that those who read your comment(s) know what your background it.

When you are finished commenting, cut and paste what you have written into a word document and save it to a "blog ideas" file that you created. At the end of each day, review all of your saved comments in order to see which ones you can use as a possible foundation for your next few blog articles.

This is a good practice because you will not only have ideas and content for several blog posts already underway, but these posts will be topics that are relevent to some of today's hottest issues and they will also be based on some very solid research/information provided for reader consideration by the author of the blog post you have just commented on.

Try it.

All really great ideas for blogs! I've used a couple of these before. I think one of the most important parts about blogging is not necessarily "bragging" about your company specifically, but sharing advice that shows your company is successful. The first idea, "What we did when customer X..." is a great way to do this- showing how you helped out a customer while at the same time providing advice.

Great ideas Kwame. I would also add that just like you can make a series out of customer interviews (idea #25) you can make a series out of many of these topics.
